How do I install GPTGSHEET in my Google Sheets?

GPTGSHEET is available on the Google Workspace Marketplace.

To install it, simply:Go to Google Workspace Marketplace.

  1. Search for “GPTGSHEET”.

  2. Click Install, and grant the required permissions.

  3. Once installed, open any Google Sheet, and you’ll see GPTGSHEET in the top menu bar.

What is a GPT Action and how do I use it?

A GPT Action is a custom task you define (e.g., translate, summarize, rewrite text) using your own prompt and selected model. After saving it in the Settings menu, you can run it anytime directly from your sheet.

Do I need an OpenAI API key to use the app?

Yes, GPTGSHEET works by connecting to OpenAI services using your personal API key. This allows you to control your costs and use your preferred model (e.g., GPT-4.5, GPT-4, GPT-4 mini or GPT-3.5).

Where do I get my OpenAI API key?

You can generate your API key by signing in to your OpenAI account at https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys.

How do I add or edit a custom GPT action?

Go to Settings → Add New Action, define the prompt, output column or cell, model, temperature, and max tokens. You can also view or edit existing actions under View/Edit/Delete Actions.

How do I connect my license key?

Click Settings → Set License Key, paste the license key you received after purchase, and save it. The app will validate the key before allowing you to use GPT Actions.

What happens if my license key is invalid or expired?

You will not be able to run GPT Actions. A notification will prompt you to set or update a valid license key before proceeding.

Can I use the same subscription on multiple accounts or users?

No. Each subscription is intended for a single user only. If you want multiple users to use the app, separate licenses should be purchased for each.

Can I run GPT actions on selected cells instead of an entire column?

Yes. You can either specify a column (e.g., D) or an individual cell (e.g., D8). The app intelligently handles both options during execution.

How many rows can I process at once?

You can process multiple rows at once, but performance depends on your OpenAI quota and token limits. Each row is processed sequentially with a short delay between each request.

Why am I getting “⚠ No content” or “❌ error” in some cells?

This may happen if the response from OpenAI is empty or there’s a network/API error. Check your API key, model settings, and ensure you haven’t exceeded your OpenAI usage limits.

How can I track the progress of GPT action execution?

During action execution, a dynamic progress window will show how many rows are processed and estimate the time left.

How do I update or remove an existing GPT action?

Go to Settings → View/Edit/Delete Actions, choose the action you want to modify or delete, and apply your changes.

What if I want to cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime from your account. Your license will remain valid until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for unused time.

Is OpenAI usage billed separately?

Yes. Your subscription covers the GPTGSHEET tool only. You pay separately for usage on OpenAI’s platform via your API key.

Is my data or API usage stored anywhere?

No. GPTGSHEET does not collect or store your prompts, input data, or generated content. All requests go directly from your sheet to OpenAI servers using your API key.

Can I get a refund if I cancel mid-subscription?

As per our terms, all subscriptions are non-refundable, except where required by law. You can cancel anytime, and your access will remain until the end of your billing period.
